From a young age, I fondly recall the inspiration I took from the passions and strengths of three influential women in my life. Sisters, each with uniquely creative inclinations, captured my admiration and fantasy for beauty, entertaining, and art!  Every visit, encounter, and time spent together has had a lasting effect on my life, career, and personal aesthetic.  The youngest sister, my mother and best friend, found escape in the pages of steamy romance novels, loving the fantastical worlds of drama and adventure which they created.  We had wonderful outings to see the ballet, take in Broadway shows together, discussing the art, the costumes, and the expressiveness of these incredible productions.  My aunt, the eldest sister and loving extrovert, was the consummate entertainer.  Not a piece of her finest dinnerware was ever kept under wraps, everyone was welcome, and every day was meant to be celebrated.  Finally, my aunt, the middle sister and my “kindred spirit”, traveled far and wide in her role as a merchant for major retailers, returning with wonderful and unique textiles and “objet d’art” from all corners of the globe, always sharing the stories of her voyages as a woman in the business world.

The creativity and energy for art and design that these sisters and lifelong mentors infused in me, lit a spark that still burns bright today. Their examples taught me to seek inspiration everywhere, operate with optimism while having the courage to follow my passion, and to nurture my sense of wonder.

This foundation guides me and gives me confidence in my work today.  I am driven to create visionary design concepts and profitable business strategies for both brands and individuals.  Their legacies of imagination, fearlessness, and joy are with me every day as I continue my career journey and venture down new paths.

I choose to keep the image of the sunflower instilled in my brand, symbolically evoking beauty, optimism, and growth…

IZOD WOMEN’S SPRING COLOR PALETTE ()

I began my career in the department store environment, honing my merchant and buying skills and moving into leadership roles where I built relationships between people, product, and the consumer.  My aesthetic and love for color, fabric, and design led to both hands-on and leadership responsibilities in apparel product development while driving business growth for brands such as Casual Corner, Van Heusen, and Izod.  Extensive consumer and trend research coupled with global travel has led to my keen understanding of creating business strategies which include hero item origination, supply-chain production efficiencies, and building product assortment roadmaps.  With a penchant for imagining brand concept as well as forming overarching financial strategies, I have a proven track record of successfully creating product lines from concept to point-of-sale for business to consumer.  My endeavors have included work across multiple channels of distribution including brick and mortar, e-commerce, and wholesale.
